The monkey fist s noted by it's bent knee, wide leg positions with the body at a low height. Arm movements are circular with open hand parries, and closed hand grabs with palms down. Other hand techniques include clawing, scratching, and pinching. Defensive body move ments are side-to-side, forwards and backwards, along with dodging head movements, leaping, pouncing, and body rolls across the ground when needed. To be able to move like a monkey, one must train and challenge the physical limit of the human body. |

Drunken |
In the drunken fist, one mimics a drunkard in motion, blending a series of difficult movements and martial techniques to confuse his opponent. In this fist, the fist is clenched as if holding a cup of wine, while the feet stagger and stumble in a loose manner over the opponent, tricking his opponent into believing that he is drunk. All parts of the body are used when fighting with the drunken fist. One must have a very relaxed waist and move like a willow tree waving in the wind. The foot work is quick, relaxed and lively revealing tremendous power, strength, and balance. |
