As a young boy , Billy's father would take him to the Saturday matinee when Kung Fu movies would play at the local theatre in Kansas City, Mo. Enter the Dragon himself, Bruce Lee, and a desire to master the martial arts was born. At age seven he began studying Kenpo Karate and over the next several years he would go on to expand his studies, with Tae Kwon Do, Tiger & Snake style Kung Fu and Okinawa Te. At thirteen, Billy met the one person next to Bruce Lee who would change his life forever. His name was John Li. Grandmaster Li (Si Tai Gung) of Hong Kong, introduced Bai Lung Pai (White Dragon Kung Fu) to a young man eager to learn the way of Shaolin. Over the next few years Billy trained intensely, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Si Tai Gung Li saw the potential this young man possed and choose him to be a closed-door disciple. By age fifteen Billy received the rank of Sifu and by sixteen Si Gung. Billy now resides in Los Angeles and teaches adults, children, law enfoorcment, the elderly and the Hollywood elite.
