Bruce Lee & I

Billy comes full circle. Looking for Bruce Lee but found the next best thing, John Li. John admired Bruce and stated that he understood Bruce's philosophy and liked what Bruce had done with Jeet Kune Do. He also added that Bruce had done nothing "new", but that he returned the martial arts to their roots. Billy studied briefly with Master Ted Wong (a first generation Bruce Lee student) who teaches the art of JKD as Bruce Lee had done. Taking another step in the JKD tradition, Billy followed up his studies and was certified by Guru John Lopez of Survival Solutions. Guru John Lopez is from the Dan Inosanto/Paul Vunak lineage of JKD, which allowed Billy two unique perspectives on the art created by Bruce Lee. Billy always thought Bai Lung Pai and JKD's concepts ran parallel to each other. It is a fact that Bruce studied, investigated and researched several martial arts and it's possible that he may have crossed paths on his quest for understanding and knowledge with White Dragon, considering he was acquainted with Pai Lum Tao Grand Master Daniel K. Pai . White Dragon has been known by more than one name. Bai Lung is the original name and Pai Lum is the current popular version. ThunderK.A.T is a blend of modified Bai Lung Pai and Jeet Kune Do.
